Anyone ever heard of this?

Alright so drunk with one of my friends last night and he then proceeds to tell me how he always carries half a pill of viagra with him. This is in case he is too drunk or otherwise messed up (he does some drugs) to perform if he gets a girl home. We are talking a healthy 22 year old. It seems to me like this is pretty extreme. Thoughts?
