Default Are you supposed to double up gamble on the rebuys?

Seems like everyone puts themselves in a position, calling multiple all ins and all, and gambles on the rebuys, then just rebuys if they lose.

Is this a +EV play?

It is if you feel you can get all those extra chips when the rebuy period is over. If there's more chips on your table, there's more chips available to build a big stack with.

People who have done the math claim it is not smart to rebuy so much. But then again i dont know if they factor in the huge field size of something like the pstars 10 rebuy where first place is huge. maybe somebody could post some sort of explanation.

i generally like to limit my rebuy to 1 rebuy... so I buy in for original 10+1 add 10 and then gamble one hand, and then buy another 10 add 10 and then add on the 10... Grand total of $51... generally this is the AVERAGE amount of money alloted to each player after the first break (actually it might be a bit more), BUT you goal is to have more chips then average, thus giving you more equity, because there are many people who will have <3k chips after addon period, which is just foolish.
