Default Running counter to type (A fish outplays me, rubs it in....)

Villain is 82/2/.7, I've been running him over for a while. A few hands previously, I was able to value bet the river with Q high and get paid off (ok, I was bluffing with the best hand, who knew....)

Button is 52/1.5/.5, so I felt ok completing preflop.

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Flop: (3 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)

Turn: (3.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 4.50 BB

And this is where we see that PT only goes so far.

Naphand will be by shortly to rub it in.

Sometimes you have to think like a fish to catch a fish!!!

I ran into one last night on a 2-4 table. After he caught his gut-shot straight on the river (beating my set of 9s)he commented "ha-ha-ha." That win brought him up to $120, but, 20 minutes later, he busted. Despite my best efforts to get him to reload, he left the table.

Ever seen a fish type "ty" when he takes down a big pot from you on the river? At the top of my head I can't think of anything that puts me closer to tilt...

Anytime someone bets out on a suited flop like that, I pretty much assume they are bluffing. Good play on his part, post-flop (by accident, probably).

Of course, showing you his hand was kinda stupid on his part. I'll never understand why fishy bluffers always show their hands...

Because they play for ego, not money.

I love it when the fish call me an idiot after taking down a monster pot off of me.
