Default Flopped nut straight.

Was this baby calling for a slowplay?

Betting is fine. If you never slowplay, you lose very little. Hands worth a slowplay are extremely rare. If you just play them all fast, it's fine.

You could have slowplayed this hand, though. It qualifies, since nobody can improve to the best hand on the flop.

Yeah I debated what to do. I often find when slowplaying hands like this that I don't end up losing, but I end up splitting, when a Queen or Jack hits the turn or river. I hate splitting.

I think even though it's tempting here, plenty of players would call if they had an A or a K. SSHE says that we should only slow-play against loose players if the player to our right bets. (Just calling instead of raising.)

If one of the other two would have called with an A, they most likely would have on the turn as well, so you're missing out on bets here.

Then again, I think we've established what my poker opinions are worth.

Lol don't be so hard on yourself man. We all make mistakes. If you need proof, do a search in the micro forum on some of my first posts. I made some really bad mistakes in my play, and they were pointed out to me. It's helping me improve as a player. That's what the forum is here for.

You've said that in 3 or 4 other threads and this is not a fold preflop. It might even be a raise preflop.

remember what slowplaying's purpose is, to give cheap cards(either free, or not raised) to allow ppl to improve but only to secondbest

what are they gonna improve to that won't call a bet here, Tx making 2pair? maybe weak ace making 2pair.. there isn't much ground for them to improve to that will result in you still getting action

I'd bet it
