Default Reasonable win rate at $3-6??

I am currently starting to log my hours and winnings for my live game and would like to know a reasonable goal for winrate? I've heard one Big bet per hour is the mark of a good player, but does this apply mostly to higher limits? I'm thinking 2 times the big bet would be feasible in a good 3-6 game. Thank you in advance

Is this in a casino? 2 BB/hr would be almost impossible at 3/6 after rake and tipping. Breaking even would be pretty good.

if it's a home game, 2 BB is possible if you are a good player, I guess.

Yeah, Live game rake is rediculous.

Usually not because the rake is higher (proporionally) than in a higher limit game and the games often move much slower, which means less hands per hour. 1 BB/hr is probably a pretty good win rate for this game.

wow. Yeah, the rake includes the bonus payouts, so who knows how much that is. I will be sure to ask next time I play there. Ok, so I guess I'm on track at a bit over $8 per hour over 19 hours, lol

At what level(s) is the rake's impact not as damaging? I believe there's a decent $6-12 game nearby that I might stake out. Thanks again

It's a gradual thing. The higher you play, the less impact the rake has on your win rate. A good $3/6 game should still be beatable and I wouldn't move up to to a higher game before you are ready just because the rake is proportionately lower.

I play 5-10 with a $5 rake and $1 for the bad beat jackpot.

$6 total. Not including tipping a buck when I win a big pot

Is this rake + occasional toke insurmountable at this limit?

The games are full of loose passives.

Remeber that you have equity in the bad beat jackpot, so money dropped to that isn't the same as money that just disappears in rake.

so true. that game was out of control. I sat in on it at like 3am after drinking whiskey for like ten hours and doing ok in a 10/20 game that broke. I dont even remember parts of it, and still came out ahead. I loved that game. Soon i will be going back with some friends and insituting the "take a flop, take a shot" policy that evan et al came up with in AC.

peace
