Default Value betting on river

Here are 2 hands one where i bet for value on river and another where i checked behind, I have been looking into this area a lot at the expense of almost all else at the moment, would appreciate any comments on my reasoning.

This first one MP2 and MP3 are both 90%+ VPIP and crazy loose aggro after the flop, after MP3 capped the turn i thought he might have 2 pair, and when the board paired I decided to bet for value.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Flop: (9.50 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, Button calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, MP2 folds, MP3 raises, Button folds, Hero 3-bets, MP3 caps, Hero calls.

River: (14.75 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP3 calls.

Final Pot: 16.75 BB

On this second one UTG was more loose passive, after him calling my flop raise and turn bet I was fairly sure i was ahead but could not see him calling me with any likely holding i could beat, so I checked behind.

Hand 1 - looks good, that'll teach him to play 34s for a raise w/ one other caller.

Hand 2 - looks like he's got a Q or T, no sense spewing to find out.

Summary - Ni hans

Hand 1:
If he has two pair he's going to bet anyway but I don't think betting is wrong against a maniac here.

Hand 2:
Would MP1 bet a flush draw? A lot of LPs won't. I'd have to put him on a badly played Q or T here and check it through.
