Now how do you know an opponent have pocket rockets and fold hands like AK or KK? This was my only and first try ever to make a play to show if he had it or not. The small raise either meant he had a weak ace i presume or maybe a strong holding as KK or AA. This is why i make the "monster" raise of 5$ as it would make a weak ace fold or call, but only a monster would reraise, right?

Any thoughts?

This is my first post here, be nice

Ha, good fold. On Party 25 I wouldn't have been able to make it. And I'd have been wanting to get as much money in the middle as possible with TPTK.

*Dons flame suit but...*

UB: I'd fold and get shown 77 by the ONE maniac there...

Party 25: No way i lay that down at NL 25....half the time you will have them dominated..("half" not meant as a representation of 50%. boondockst does not take responsibility or accept responsibility for information provided to you via the Internet that is inaccurate, unsuitable, offensive or illegal in nature.)

that is exactly how you play against somebody who minraises both marginal hands like AXs, KJ, midpocket pairs as well as AA/KK.

Reraise and most of the times they fold their marginal holdings and rereraise their monsters.

you also have the advantage of driving out other callers with the reraise as opposed to 4 to the flop for the minraise.

Nice read and well done. I just can't understand why your opponent would want to show his/her aces so proudly, cause, if my opponent folded to my minimum reraise, I would be most upset.

I would normally just call to see the flop, in the future, you may want to use the BisonBison's hand converter as it is normal not keep the names of the opponents anonymous when hand histories are shared.
