Default From 3/6 to...??

Just getting a general idea here. Where do the 3/6 players generally move to (on party/empire/etc)? 15/30? Seems like a big jump to go from 3/6 to 15/30, but in terms of game selection its the only option for full ring it would seem. Or start taking up the SH games?

Thanks!

That is a massive jump.

5/10 full games are pretty miserable save the BB jackpot games at party (and there you're really just pay more rake), but the games are looser. Just a rock garden at the regular 5/10 and 10/20 is about the same.

I play up to 15/30 on party and I wouldn't want to jump straight from 3/6 to 15/30. Very different game, surprisingly better player (usually) than most of the live 15/30 or 20/40 games I've played.

So you'd suggest the SH route?

I have been thinking about this question too. Everyone says the 5/10 FH games are bad and the 5/10 6-max games are wild but soft.

I'm not sure increasing the limits and switching to shorthanded at the same time is a good idea for me. I'm considering the Paradise 3/6 5-max games as an intermediate step. Once I'm comfortable there the 5/10 SH at Party shouldn't be such a jolt.

I'm sure the shorthanded experience will be invaluable at 15/30 and generally throughout my career.

i've recently made the jump from 2/4 at Party to 5/10 6-handed. I've found them very soft, so far, though I'm still only playing one table at a time. This is a bit of an experiment for me, but it's going well so far. If you're beating the 3/6 full ring games, the 5/10 6-handed shouldn't be too difficult. Just the occasional maniac. You can usually find a table with 2 or 3 call stations.

The archives will. There were multiple huge threads about this in the last month or two.

If you like SH. SH is very different from Full games. If you don't like playing with maniacs or you have a low PF aggression factor SH games are not for you unless you can adjust.

You're going to be playing many more hands, drawing hands are going down, PP and Big aces are going way up.

You'll need to make adjustments. If you haven't played a lot of short handed you may want to play a level other than 5/10 to start.

But I love 5/10 and 10/20 because it feeds my LAG tendecies.
