Default 87o-Misplayed on every street?

First real foray into 3/6, but I'm sure villian in this hand is a 2+2er. BB I know is but doesn't factor into this hand. The rest are pretty loose.

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $3.

Why are you betting the flop? The 2+2er shoudl be raising almost any hand here b/c of the size of the pot. You would most likely get it heads up.

Bet the turn, 2+2er has overcards.

Bet the river given how you played the rest of the hand. if you had taken my line and bet the flop and turn, I'd check the river

I like the flop bet. 2+2er is supposed to blow away the field with a raise and get it heads up. Then you've got your pair and backdoor draws against his overcards. Hang on to the end and see what happens.

But the bastard forgot to raise. Does this mean he was waiting for the turn? Since you don't know, you should bet into him again on the turn. Nobody else in the pot has shown any aggression, so bet the turn. If 2+2er raises, make your decision then if he has an overpair or not. But you've got a straight draw so you can at least call and see the river. I doubt he'd keep calling unless his only 2+2 posts are on OOT.

Preflop call is really thin.

Postflop played well.

If I make the preflop call (which I admit is thin) then how else would I want to play it? I have 2nd pair-weak kicker. Do I have a better chance to win with one opponent or four opponents?

Whats your plan of attack if he raises the flop? You've essentially said your going to call down w/this hand untill the river. I don't like playing this hand much and I certainly don't like putting in 2 bets on the flop w/it when I odn't know where I am. The multiple limpers help you out if you pick up a strait sdraw on the turn in addtion to your pair. That would be a good time to bet b/c you have an excellent value. The 2+2er probobly won't raise overcards on the turn like he would on the flop. You also have more outs against an overpair.

The pf call is fine and you'll be closing the action on the flop if you take one off.

-preflop fine
-flop fine.
-easy, easy turn bet.
-river plays out differently if you bet the turn (more folds, etc).
