Default remember...some people ARE maniacs, tough folds= -EV

Here's my thinking:

PF I think is standard, with the 3-bet and cap by CO, I put one of the two having me outkicked. The flop made me pretty srue that MP3 had AK (or at the very least AQ).

Flop, I think it's close, but with backdoor flush and two pair draw I think I have odds to call. Does anyone bet out the flop here?

Turn, I amazingly, have odds to draw to my J.

River, if there is no raises I have odds to make a crying call for 1-bet, possibly two, but probably not two.

Final Pot: 21.50 BB

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
Hero has Ad Jd (two pair, aces and eights).
MP3 has Kc 7s (one pair, eights).

sorry to post results, but this hand is more for fun....kinda curious if you guys like my line of thinking.

That's what I would have done. Betting the flop wouldn't do much since the pot is huge and nobody will fold any sort of draw. Basically you are along for the ride from preflop on. MP3 is very crazy.

I'm just a little disappointed he ran out of money shortly after this hand (as I think he was trying to do).

CO's flop raise makes some sense, as he could be trying to buy outs, although I think the chances of this being successful are pretty small. Maybe someone will muck, say, KQ, but that doesn't help him much if someone holds an ace (though it would eliminate a redraw if a ten falls on the turn), and it's going to be hard for him to get someone to fold an ace.

Anyway, though, against these opponents, I think you're just stuck in the pot until the end. There's too good of a chance your hand is best or will improve to the best hand to think about folding.

This is true, so long as a jack will win the hand for you, and there's a good chance it will.

Incidentally, though, against AK, the possibility that another 8 will fall is something else to consider, as that would give you a chop (so long as no one else can beat your eights full).

At this table, though, I don't think you should assume you're behind. You could have something more in the range of 35 outs.

If you've seen people playing like this at the table on any sort of regular basis, I think you need to be prepared to take the hand to showdown on the river, even though that could be expensive.
