Re: Please help with this hand
Does anyone advocate folding here? You've got two stacks smaller than you that could be all-in on the blinds before you can bust out likewise. Or is this a case of win-or-bust and to hell with finishing 3rd?

Re: Please help with this hand
I agree. fold pre flop.
Save your chips until you are not in 3rd and have to make a move. more times than not your patience will pay off with a 3rd and you can then try for the crummy coin flips |

Push preflop. [/ QUOTE ] I'd imagine Chris' advice here is buyin dependent. Chris plays 215s I believe mainly and there you probably have more FE than lets say a 22 buyin. Sooooooooooooo, what buyin were you in IC5? Yugoslav |

Re: Please help with this hand
Fold preflop. Honestly though, its close.
If I have A8 or higher here I push. Never limp here though. Did the button have some stupid hand like KJ? |

Re: Please help with this hand
It isn't all about FE. There's 500 in the pot, my stack is only 750, and from what I can see I rate to have the best hand. It would be nice to have them fold but I'll take an allin vs QTs or whatever as well.

[/ QUOTE ] A4 is so dangerous here though for two reasons.... the possible dominated ace, where hes gonna call just about every time, if hes got a pp (other than 33 or 22), you are also in a bad spot. You on the other hand will never have him dominated. Things change when your kicker goes up, or you are less likely to have a dominated hand. If you had KJ here I would be much more comfortable with that and just push it. |

Re: Please help with this hand
this def. is on the fence. The decision, I agree, is to all in or fold it. I believe the final decision here will be made based on your readds of the players. If the players have been exceptionally tight...we might wanna push here. If they are gamblers...then we may want to wait a bit for a better gamble. Its tough.
so...what did the winner have? sly |

Re: Please help with this hand
The button almost certainly does not have a pp or better ace because he limped. If the BB shows up with one, that's life and I'll try to score my 30% or 25% chance.
