Default Is this the correct way to play this hand?

This hand seemed like the proper way to play for me. I'm trying to fix a leak in my game that I bet far too much when I have a good pocket hand, but it misses. I bet the flop partially for value in case I hit on the turn, and partially because the people might fold (though doubtful). I check-folded on the turn because I missed, and there was almost no chance of my hand being best anymore. This seems like it would be the best way to play, and is a change from what I would do previously (normally I would be too attached to my hand, and bet it out until I was raised. I would often be called down, and lose to bottom pair). Is this the standard, or does something here need fixing? Sorry for no converter, I will get it for next time.

I think you made the right move. After seeing the turn card didn't help you, there was a possible flush draw, straight draw, not to mention multiple pairs available. Granted, you had an overcard, but at this point, there are 6 cards left giving you top pair and you still might get drawn out on by the flush or straight or 3 of a kind.

Yes, I was almost certain I was beat in that scenario. The question that I'm trying to focus on is: is this generally the correct way to play when you have a good holding that misses?

PF: obvious raise, I don't think there is any question

Flop: bet for value or possibly folds, fold to a raise? OR check/fold to save bets on a relatively small pot (this is a 6-max game which I should have pointed out earlier in case it went unnoticed)? OR check/call and draw to overcards (my least favorite option)?

Turn: check/fold because I missed? OR bet to represent strength and hope for folds? I don't think check/calling is a reasonable option
