Default How do you practice good game selection in a casino?

I've heard you should look for a happy table. In my casino you're not allowed to watch games, you have to wait at the wall in the poker room. What things should I look for from afar and how can I find good games?

The first two things I look for are (in this order):

1. lots of chips.

2. lots of beer bottles / drink glasses.

3. younger players

There's nothing like sitting down at a table with a few players with lots of chips who are in town to have a good time. I also feel like I'm less likely to run into a table of rocks if I have some kids at my table.
