Default 10/20 full...

Is anyone playing this level profitably? Is there any room in it? I see like 5 tables on Party which is kind of rediculous, and I'm quite averse to SH play, although not totally. What do I do after 5/10 and why? Discuss...

Learn to play short handed, you'll be happy you did it.

Start at 5/10.

It requires a lot of practice and study. Took me probably 15k hands of 5/10 6-max before I "got" sh, but the things I learned during that period have improved my play in all areas of poker immensely.

I've been cherry picking the 10-20 games when I see one that looks real good, and my results are in line with cherry picked games .

It's true that there is a smaller sample to pick from, but I think that the bet size and variance are the biggest differences.

I'm almost to the point where I am going to start taking my shots at the 15-30, but that is a big jump from 5-10, so I want some experience and acclimation before I jump all the way to 15-30.

besides the lack of games being the main problem, the game itself is not very profitable. i only have about 1k hands but it seemed more TAG than 5/10.

if you want a new game i would suggest 5/10 or 10/20 6max, or maybe even 15/30 if you have the roll.

why is 15/30 softer than 10/20?

Yes and make sure your roll is overly healthy. My shot at 15 has really kicked my ass, and it's not fun.

My plan is to have a set aside of about 3K out of a total bankroll of 15K when I take my first shots at 15-30. If I lose the 3K, then its back to 10-20, and 5-10.
