Default Foxwoods and the iPod

I was hiding an iPod underneath my hood at the 5/5 NL game at Foxwoods a few days ago. One dealer shift went through totally fine but then the next dealer immediately told me to take of the headphones.

They were like totally hidden as far as I could tell in the mirror. I was sitting in the 10 seat so maybe he could hear the music coming out.

What's the punishment if you get caught repeatedly listening to music in the poker room? It helps me a ton because I can relax and I have something to do in the interim between waiting for my cards.

They'll kick you out, without question.

No music, no cells -- none.

They're pretty ferocious about it.

Eh, my guess is that they just keep telling you not to listen to the music.

All they ever do about cell phones is repeatedly bother people--I've never seen them kick someone out.

The dealer asked me to take the headphones off but that's it. I was wondering if other dealers would be stricter.. Oh well.

Not to hijack this thread but why arent you allowed to listen to an ipod? At Commerece you can have it right there on the table - there was even one guy I was playing with who covered his cards with his ipod the way some people put a chip over theirs.

People may take Ipods, gut them, and turn them into communication devices?

I always get asked to take my hood off if I have a hoodie on and choose to put it up occasionally so the cameras can see my pretty face.

In general, players listening to music slow down the games. You may not do this, but many do. I hate having some dude off in la-la land needing to be snapped back to reality everytime the action is to him.

"Oh, it was raised?"
