Party Poker Jackpot
How often does the party poker jackpot get hit? It's at $315,000 now and going up $2/second. The qualifying standards are really tough.
In my local casino, someone figured that the jackpot should be hit every 45,000-50,000 hands. I'm sure the numbers are probably many times that for PP. Has anyone done the math to ballpark how many hands it should take to hit it? |

Re: Party Poker Jackpot
I'm sure (right now) it's over whatever number you're going to come up with.

Re: Party Poker Jackpot
Ive never lost with Quad 88s ,beaten Quad 88s or been in a hand where this has happened.
I do play the Big Game@ {Virginia Lottery) when the pool gets huge. That said I am off to see the wizard. |

Your chance of winning the lottery are only slightly improved; if you actually buy a ticket.

Re: Party Poker Jackpot
There has to be a number over which it becomes +EV to play the jackpot. It's .50 per raked hand. I would guess that number is probably around 300,000. I haven't watched closely, but it seems like it might get hit every couple of days.

Re: Party Poker Jackpot
I took a break from a game I was playing in a B&M casino to watch my friend play at a higher limit. The board ends up
8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] It ends up being capped on the river (it was 3 handed) and one player shows A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] x for the nut flush, the next player shows the two black nines for quads and my friend flips up J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] to win the pot. Too bad there was no BBJ. |
