Default What book is best for sngs?

I'm looking into buying a book that will help refine my NL hold 'em play. I play hold 'em exclusively (i.e. no stud, etc.), and lately I've begun playing only sng's, where I'm doing fairly well.

But I'm sure I can do better. I know TOP and HEFAP are top on everyone's list as far as hold 'em goes, but will they be very helpful with no limit SNG's, or do they deal mostly with limit? I know Harrington has a new book out; how helpful would his book be? There are probably oodles of books out there that I've never heard of that are infinitely helpful, so if anyone out there could give me some suggestions as to the best book (or books) that can help me improve and refine my no limit SNG play, that would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

The Harrington book addresses a lot of issues that occur in sng's. Each example and problem explicitly states whether it's a single table or multi table situation (and prize structure).

McEvoy and Daugherty's book on satellites is probably the best. SNGs are fairly close to one table satellites.

put frankly, there is no one book that deals with SnG strategy directly, certainly not to the degree of what can be found in the archives of the 1 table tourney section of this forum.

start at the FAQ there, and work your way through with the search function.

Yes, but reader must pay close attention and select advice applicable to his tournament structure. Also I'd suggest reading "Tournaments for Advanced Player" by Sklanski. Probably there is nothing better for SnG than combination of these 2 books.

No he's talking about Championship Satellite Strategy and I'd have to agree that book combined with TPFAP is probably your best starting point. Throw in Harrington's book and you're set.

That's the Cardoza reissue. The original Cardsmith version has been out for a year or so.
