Lay down 99 here?
Sorry, don't have the hand history, but I know all the details.
PartyPoker $100+9 Sit n Go. No one out yet. Blinds 15/30. Hero is SB with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain in MP goes all-in for 330. Everyone folds. You...? Considering the range of hands that a shortstack would move in with there and the general quality of play that got him to be a shortstack (called off half his chips with a gut shot), I thought I would be ahead there way more than 50% of the time. If he had a big pocket pair, he'd probably slowplay it, but it seemed very reasonable that he'd have something like Ax or a small pocket pair. Anyways, I just want to hear all of your thoughts. Should I be risking a third of my chips so early w/ 9,9? |

Re: Lay down 99 here?
Tough one. I'd say it's about 50/50. Since the player may be tilting and all that, maybe yes, it's worth a call. What should worry you most is if the BB comes along. That'll make it extra chippy.
I'm not sure what I'd do. I know that's no help, but it's all I have. |

Fold.
He has 11x BB, not even close to being desperate. FWIW if he's pushing all pairs and any ace its correct to call with 66+ and AT+. |
