Default Getting past a certain point

Anyone else have/had this problem? I always seem like I'm doing the same thing-building my BR up a little, finally feel like I'm gonna get past that certain level. Next thing ya know, I string a few losing sessions together and I'm down to $20(I'm playing .01/.02 NL at UB) build it up to $30 or so, down to $20. I've been going up-down like this for a week or so. Any ideas to help get past a certain level, tips for when playing-ANYTHING-I'm listening.

Have someone evaluate your play. Hand histories, etc...

I've been posting some HH's in the Small Stakes NL forum....It seems like a lot of the money I'm losing is when I have AQ and run into AK, AA over my JJ, etc.

Don't push pre-flop with J's.

I don't, the only time I push preflop with any hand is if I get reraised with aces or kings.

Sounds like you could be a break-even player. Keep reading the forum, check out some books, and keep posting questionable hands.

One thing I wanted to mention is, I wouldn't move up levels until you feel you can dominate. Since you are a micro-stakes player, you should be able to absolutely destroy people before you move up, if your goal is to be a winning player. Just getting by at those levels won't help you to keep moving up. A player at say 5/10 may want to move to 10/20 because he can make more per hour, even though he is just above average at 5/10. This is a different circumstance though. Make it your goal to be the best player every time you sit down at the penny tables. When you feel you are the best player every time, then move up. Do the same thing. Before you know it, you'll have a lot more confidence in your game, because you'll be used to winning, and slowly, but surely, you will be moving up in stakes.

Ever think of playing limit instead of NL?

Study the game as hard as you can, read the threads by some of the better posters in the appropriate strategy forum.

The swings are most likely because you are only a break-even player at this point.
There is a lot of good content in these forums to help make you a winning player. Study Study Study.
