Default sufficient bankroll for my trip.

I am heading out to Nevada over the Christmas holidays and I plan on playing quite a bit of poker. My plan is to play mainly 2/4 and 3/6 hold'em, hopefully spending about 5 or 6 whole days on just poker. I am curious as to how much I will need for my trip though. For 6 days of poker, how many BB's should I be equipped with? I am pulling the money out of my online poker accounts, so I don't want to overdo it. Any experiences with long poker trips and bankroll size?

btw...this will be my first B&M poker experience.

500 or 600 should do it. You could always hit an ATM if needed.

If you lose 600BB playing retards at 2/4 Live games, you aren't very good. I play 5-10 Live regularly, and I have 3000 set aside for it. 300 BB

If you don't instantly infer from context that he was talking about dollars and not BB you're not very bright.

Um... 600 for 2/4?? The guy does not need 150 bb's

I play 5/10 at my local cardroom and 600 could last me all year.

If all you are playing is 2/4, you should be fine by bringing 300 bucks. After all you would have to lose over 75 big bets to bust out, and if that happened I suggest you try the slot machines.

I've got to agree that 300-400 would be MORE than enough for a series of 2/4 sessions. If you think you'll be playing more 3/6 then you might want to lean more toward the 400 level....but you'll be fine.

My usual fun game in Tunica is 2/4 or 3/6 and I typically sit with 1 rack ($100). I don't think I've EVER cashed out less than $80 or 90 after a 3-4 hour session.... and it took a wave of REALLY bad cards to come down to that point. I Typcially cash between $120-$150....and have cashed as much as $380 after a 6 hour session. Expect 2/4 and 3/6 to be like a .5/1 Party table...

Frankly, if you're a tighter player, you might be better served bringing $600 and hitting the 4/8 tables if you're not planning on drinking a whole lot.
