Default This hand almost gave me a nice broke computer (Party 15/30)

So I get bored and decide to take a shot at Party 15/30. The following madness ensues....

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $15.
<font color="666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="CC3333">MP3 raises</font>, <font color="CC3333">CO (poster) 3-bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Button caps</font>, Hero calls, BB calls, MP3 calls, CO calls.

Flop: (20 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(5 players)</font>
Hero checks, BB checks, <font color="CC3333">MP3 bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">CO raises</font>, Button calls, <font color="CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, BB calls, MP3 folds, <font color="CC3333">CO caps</font>, Button folds, Hero calls, BB calls.

Turn: (17.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(3 players)</font>
Hero checks, BB checks, <font color="CC3333">CO bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, BB calls, CO calls $50 (All-In), <font color="CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, BB calls.

River: (27.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(3 players, 1 all-in)</font>
<font color="CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">BB raises</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">BB caps</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 35.50 BB
<font color="green">Main Pot: 25.50 BB, between CO, Hero and BB.</font> &gt; <font color="white">Pot won by BB (25.50 BB).</font>
<font color="green">Pot 2: 10 BB, between Hero and BB.</font> &gt; <font color="white">Pot won by BB (10 BB).</font>

Results in white below: <font color="white">
Hero has Ad Ah (three of a kind, aces).
BB has 5d 3d (straight, six high).
CO has 6c Jc (one pair, sixes).
Outcome: BB wins 35.50 BB. </font>

This should've made me smash my entire house up until I realized that these 15/30 games have to be ridiculously profitable. Hmm, I still don't know WTF to think about this.

Before any says it, my grammar is wrong on the thread title, sue me. I'm not sure I really have a point to posting this and I know people hate bad beat posts, but the rage I felt after this (taking a stab at a higher limit) had be really going. Obviously this is super LAG, but are the 15/30 games on party in general any good? I mean you flop Trip Aces with a backdoor nut flush draw and a bunch of rags on the board and you have be feeling good when you get beaten by a gutshot, right? Damn this pot was over $1,000

Yeah I guess that answers my question. God the variance at this level is insane I'd imagine though. The worst part of this hand was I saw the river as a complete blank and figured I still had the nuts and was thinking WTF does everyone else on this table have that they want to lose to me with? Then the pot goes his way and I was literally inches from punching out a window I love how this was capped before it even got to me pre-flop....

Once you get past the BB's horrible preflop play, his plays werent all that bad. He didnt have the 11-1 odds for his gutshot, but was close with his implied odds.

Not when you discount him to at best 3.5 outs due to the flush (and my re-draw, but he didn't know about that).

yeah, if he ignores the flush draw he's in decent shape with his post-flop calls.

Figure 32-3 on his flop call and 21.5-2 on his turn call. Course if you factor in the flush draw and the possibility of raises behind him after his call it doesn't look as good.

But he shouldn't have been in the hand at all. Even for .5/1.00 that's pretty damn bad (but...but...they were soooooted!!!! and I was in the big blind!!!).

Rough, really rough.
