Default Betting Rules – Help me clear up.

OK – I’ve come to the definitive body for you expert advice, to solve this once and for all. Yes I’ve read Robert’s played in both AC & Vegas, but the issue is still cloudy.

In tournament No Limit Hold’em – blinds are 25 /50. The first round you must either call 50, fold or raise. If you raise (this is no limit) must you raise in increment of the big blind (50,100,150) or just exceed the big blind (51), or exceed double the big blind (101)?

Second – same game the flop has flopped; the first bettor has the option to check or raise. If you raise must you raise in increment of the big blind (50,100,150) or just exceed the big blind (51), or exceed double the big blind (101). If someone reraises must they double the big blind or double your bet (ie; I made it 300; can you go 350 or does it have to be 600?)

you must bet atleast the Big Blind, and preflop you must atleast Double the Big Blind if you want to raise. And if someone Raises to you, and you want to reraise, you must reraise atleast what they raised to you.

Here's a link to pokerpages where they have a list of the TDA's (Tournament Director's Association) rules.

http://www.pokerpages.com/articles/b.../tda-rules.htm

Check rule 10 and 39.
