Question for 8-tablers
I just started 8-tabling tonight after 4-tabling for around 6 months. Can anybody tell me what kind of ROI drop I can expect?
It sure is fun. I have to play tighter than my normal game, which is probably a good thing. Any tips from other 8-tablers would be appreciated. Irieguy PS- I'm starting at the 20's and 30's, but my normal level is the 50's at PP. |

Re: Question for 8-tablers
my roi dropped dramatically, but I think I had some really bad luck. I looked and looked over my old HHs while 8tabling and I couldnt see any major errors. anyways after 300 sngs at the 30s whilie 8tabling I dropped to a 5% roi. (Down about 25%) I have since given it up for a while.

Re: Question for 8-tablers
300 sng's is not a large enough sample size for a 5% drop in roi to be relevant.

Re: Question for 8-tablers
Well I 8 tabled the $10's for 165 SNGs with a 27% ROI and now I've played 200ish SNGs at the $20's and I'm down like 8 buyins.... so I couldn't really tell you
I've had some supreme bad luck in the last few days as well, such as AKs vs AKo in a 4,000 chip pot 6 handed and then losing when 4 diamonds hit the board....anyways this is the world's smallest violin and its playing a sad song just for me.... The thing is, if I wasn't 8 tabling I still wouldn't be paying attention anyways....my game for the last month or so has always been super tabling, so just play tight and then start stealing like a mad man. |

Re: Question for 8-tablers
wouldn't it make more sense to jump to 6 tables? or 5 or 7 before 8?

Re: Question for 8-tablers
Sorry to jack the thread, but I'm also starting to get into SnG games and I was wondering how you multi-tablers handle the fast action when the tables get short handed towards the later stages of the game. I also come from a multi-table set-up in limit games where I'm used to doing anywhere from 6 to 8 tables, but in limit games, the tables are always almost full as people come and go. But in SnG games, if you multi-table, you will often get into situations where you are playing shorthanded in many of your multiple tables. Doesn't this get hectic?
