Default Child Camel Jockey/ Slaves in the UAE...

I just watched the Real Sports special on the UAE's use of 3-7 year old child slave labor for racing camels. This is absolutely sickening, the Shayks supposedly have "bans" agains t it-- but they caught them on camera with almost prison /slave camps where they participate in betting on the children.
No photographs are allowed, and they have signs-- the guards and shayks threw a fit when they saw a british camerman approaching the races. The children are used because the lighter they are the faster the camels are, also if the children weighs above 50 pounds they are starved to get their weight down. They are only fed biscuits and water, absolutely nothing else. They are forced to sleep outside in the sand, and perform in 110 degree weather for no pay.
The children are kidnapped, or sold by their parents and are forced to work or die. Most children don't know their age; Several even die of starvation.

I suggest everyone look this up... I'll try to find a link, but I am honestly surprised to see this being done in the 21st century.

It wont stop your hero doing business with them and the Saudis who's human rights record is pretty bad too.

Unfortunatley a lot of the middle east is a long way behind the wesern world for human rights and decency.

As a 7 year-old, how can I get in on this? It sounds like fun!

Abib Al-Aboud, the "Babe Ruth" of camel jockeying, is 22 now and enjoying life as a very successful actor, endorsing all kinds of popular Arab products like turbins and such. when inerviewed recently, he denied all allegations that he was ever a slave, and said all the scars on his back were not from being whipped by his "master", but rather acne gone awry.

cheers!

Children are forced to work and/or get sold to slavery and prostitution all over Asia (China, Indian subcontinent, Indochina), middle east and asia. Far more in Asia then elsewhere.

Incidentally the child prostitutes tend to "work" for clients from west.

It is all about economics stupid.
