God what a stupid hand (low content)
$1/2 NL
99 in MP.... 5 people limp.... BB raises to $10 I call because I knew everyone would call.... 5 people see the flop with $50+ in the pot flop comes something stupid checked to the guy on my left who bets TWO ...whoa man feel the power! but oh wait a guy directly to his left raises to FOUR! oh the excitement of NO LIMIT poker! Kill me... please.... just kill me I don't understand people sometimes.

I totally put him on a super royal flush.
But yeah, those min bets into huge pots are terrifying. Everyone around pokerstars is trying to play tight but most have never learned the idea of betting more than 2x the blinds or just shoving their chips all in (the first option in a huge pot, the 2nd in a $3-4 one). Did you call and cheaply hit your set or fold but roll your eyes? If BB checked he probably has AK and whiffed or is trapping w/ an overpair. Or maybe he just sucks. who knows!! Have a good one.

My favorite is when someone minraises and leaves themselves with $1 left in their stack and then the other person calls. Then they wait 5 more minutes the next round to go all in.

you know, I've started doing this move a bit recently as an experiment.
I only do this when there are fairly solid players around and I have close to the absolute nuts and fairly sure they have a good hand too. Sometimes the minraise piss off the good players so much that they reraise much more to "show me how real NL is played". Then I happily push and take their stack.
