Hand 4 - I play it the same, would have checked behind on the river if he hadn't bet into me.

Hand 5 - Looks fine, blind wars are very player dependent though.

Hand 6 - I'll raise QJ after a limper from the CO, rest looks fine.

Hand 7 - Any read on the BB? Stop and Go with an Ace on board seems strange, I've seen it done with a flush draw before though, I may want to look him up.

Hand 4: I call the river here too, so many players bluff bet the river when an A or K comes. I think I am ahead more times than not

Hand 5: Looks good to me, I like the 3 bet on the flop heads up.

Hand 6: Standard stuff

Hand 7: Depending on the type of player the BB is, I fold if he is a good player, I'll call if he is a LAG and I think he is drawing. With only 6BB in the pot I don't think your giving much up here by folding either way.

The flop bet with 2nd pair isn't really that standard, do you think?

Its checked to you with only the button to act. Why wouldn't you bet here?

Checking allows the button to bluff or gives a free card to any draws. I don't see any reason to play differently.

not to say betting is wrong (I will bet if the button is aggressive preflop), but the button was a pfr, and this is a pfr's kinda flop.

I guess that it does depend a little on what type of player the button is.

Do you think he would raise w/ Any K? probably not

So you have to ask what are his raising standards. Even if he has decent raising standards your probably ahead about half the time and even more if he is looser.

If you check and he bets, what do you do? If you fold, I think your giving up to much. If you are going to call, might as well bet.

If my thinking is off, let me know.

I agree with you in general, it does depend on the button, although this is a nice flop for many raising hands (AA, AK, KQ, KK, KJ, KTs, JJ, even AJ will play). I like the bet if the button is aggressive or could fold QQ or AJ here, I just don't know if its standard to bet into the pfr in this spot.

But consider that if the button raised TT, 88, 99, 77, AT, A9s, 89s, or even more- why slow him down?

Anyway, a preflop raise by our hero might have helped us with the flop play.
