Default starting hands and number at table

I recently started playing low limit hold em. I have been reading like a maniac trying to get the best info available. Sklansky's starting hands are for full ring games, or do they refer also to tables with fewer players? it seems to me, that with fewer players the starting hands requirements should loosen up a little. I have been playing at party poker, where most of the tables are 6 player tables. is there a different list of starting hands for 6 player games? where can i find one?

Treat it like a ten-handed game where the first four players have folded.
