What WPT would you most likely try to win a seat in?
I would say the one in reno or the one at the bike because they are the cheaper event ($5k buyin)
Since I am filthy rich, I would have to try to win a seat through multiple supersatellites. Winning a $5k seat should be at least twice as ez as winning a $10k. Dizcuz |

[/ QUOTE ] everyday. you're kidding yourself if you think that because the buyin is 5K cheaper, that somehow the competition gets weaker. you may routinely run into good pros and satellite specialists vying for a cheap seat. |

[/ QUOTE ] hmmm well I play online. i would think that in a MMT supersatellite that the field would not get more difficult when the prize is significantly smaller (a $5k seat instead a $10k seat) Also, there is roughly about twice as many seats paid on a online supersatellite in a 5k supersatellite than in a $10k seat supersatellite given that the entry fee is the the same (UB is where I play and its entry cost is usually $100+9). so even if the competition does not get weaker then there are more prize seats paid out. even if there was a linear relationship between the number of seat paid and likelyhood of winning one (double the numbers paid = double the chances of winning one) then it should be about twice as likely to win. I would guess that the real relationship is non-linear and would be better than the direct 1:1 linear relationship due to the limited number of online supersatellite specialists. thoughts/comments? |

The logic makes sense, which scares me, because everything else is frightening.
