Default MAC pros- does Ball State have a chance to cover?

Can they cover 4 touchdowns against Bowling Green?

MicroBob?

i ain't no mac pro, but did attend falcon u for awhile...really have the babes there..no kidding..

anyway..i like..and bet bgsu at -24.5...i feel that 29 is too much...unsure of weather, but totals could be down due to wet and very windy weather...

so, i would not bet either side today, but if you get a good weather report validating wind especially, then +29 would be the play..

Actually I think this is a reasonable bet but I'm staying away from this one.
BG is a really tough place to play.

BG's stadium can be really windy sometimes which could put the reigns on their pass attack (not sure what the forecast is....but that wind really gusts inside that stadium).

Pros for taking BSU include their high scoring win over WMU (41-14).

But BSU lost 52-14 at Toledo a couple weeks ago which really scares me.

BG didn't exactly blow the lid off CMU on the road last week but they still won convinceingly 38-14.
a healthy win.....but it's against a bad team so I'm not exactly blown away.

BG destroyed Temple 70-16 so they can really run up the points.

Mostly, I'm thinking of BSU's mind-set and morale after losing a tough one to EMU 31-24 last week. This was a game that was very winnable for BSU and they lost to a bad team at home which has to be awfully deflating.
If they get down by a couple of scores early BSU might get demoralized really fast.

I think there is value with a 29 point BSU line but I'm just not comfortable enough to roll the dice on this one.

Marshall -13.5 at Kent.
Marshall struggled at Ohio and only won 16-13...Kent has been playing decently. They lost by 20 at Miami but kept it very competitive for awhile.
More importantly, all of Marshall's games have been decided by 10 points or less each way. They just haven't blown anybody out and haven't shown a lot of offense.
I think KSU can keep this within 13.5 and I will be taking the mighty Flashes.

I'm not touching Miami -20 at Buffalo. My alma-mater won b 20 vs. KSU but the Flashes kept it close for awhile and Miami has been inconsistent and seems to be playing down to the level of their opponents. Buffalo is pretty bad....but I can easily see scenarios where miami just grinds their way along and pulls out a 7 point win or something.

scalf - didn't see you had posted. Interesting that we both brought up the wind. But at BG's stadium it's an obvious factor.
Some games up there you might as well be playing in a wind-tunnel.

Default Re: 35-3 at halftime!!!

Another weird day in the MAC.

Miami won 25-7. Didn't cover the 19.5 or 20 point line so I'm glad I stayed away from that one.

BG sure raced out to a quick start. 21-0 just a few minutes in....Now 37-3 in the 3rd.
To answer the original question...it would appear that Ball St. actually can NOT cover 4 TD's.

Toledo had a battle but ended up covering against Ohio 31-13.

Kent State was up on Marshall 14-0 in the 1st Q. I took the +14 on KSU in this one....my only MAC bet of the day appears to have been a good one. KSU leads 17-14 in the 3rd now.

I thought about taking EMU +3 at WMU. EMU won 35-31 or something like that but I wimped out on that one.

AKR-CFU just started. Is it possible for both teams to lose the same game?

Default 1-2 for college bets, 1-1 on MAC

Oh well... another lesson repeated- I need to stick to what I know.
