Two Pair vs. a Connected board.
I don't think I played this hand wrong, and I'm not trying to post a bad beat story. What I'm after here is some advice on how you tell when a fish really has something.
So far, I have been very bad at telling when one of the loosey-gooseys at a $25 6-max PP table has me beat, or when they are betting big with a worse hand. It seems like I invariably make the wrong deccision. Here's the example: Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 max, 4 handed) BB ($24.55) Hero ($25) Button ($17.01) SB ($60.25) Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero calls $0.50, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: ($1.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, BB bets $1, Hero raises to $4, SB calls $4, BB folds. Turn: ($10.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets $5, Hero folds. Final Pot: $15.50 He turns over J9, and I naturally grimace, but there's no way I can call this, right? He had played 60% of his hands and pf raised 13%. Are there any clues that I missed? |

Re: Two Pair vs. a Connected board.
you either raise him or you fold. no calling.
I think the fold is fine. |
