How many BB/100 should one expect to lose in the blinds?
As my PT database grows, I'm starting to look more at blind defense. How many BB/100 (if a decimal there is an appropriate measurment) should a winning player be losing there?

The way I see it you should look at the next number over in PT. What you would have won or or lost with blinds added back. If that number is positive you are fine. If it's negative you may have some concern.

Re: How many BB/100 should one expect to lose in the blinds?
I have 130,000 hands ranging from 3/6 to 15/30 with a win rate of 1.5 BB/100 on this database. Mine are BB -.23, SB -.13
Hope that helps, and I hope I'm not really sposed to be ahead in the blinds, cause if thats the case I must suck at blinds! Hopefully somebody really good will throw in here. Steve |

My personal numbers have me slightly ahead from the blinds so I somewhat figured this was the norm, I could be incorrect. |

Re: How many BB/100 should one expect to lose in the blinds?
I have almost 40k hands in PT. The limits I've played are .25/.5 - 2/4. Total win rate is 2.25 BB/100. In the blinds it's -.18 BB and -.12 SB.
I highly doubt anyone could be a long term winner from either blind position. |

Re: How many BB/100 should one expect to lose in the blinds?
I'm -0.14 and -0.04, playing the 6max 5-10 over 35k hands. Blind defense is obviously much more important in 6max than full ring, and I'm pretty sure it's normal for blind numbers to be "less bad" for the 6max.

It is in poker tracker under position stats. BB won per hand in each position. We are talking about that stat arn't we? I will check the original post again.
