Is winning online only a bubble ????
Hello
I am in the moment a small winner in poker, i came originally from backgammon. In backgammon u could make easy money online 3 years ago, but now the fishes stop playing or they are learning and be good enough to play nearly even. So the rakes steal the profit from nearly anyone. Will poker have the same bubble and soon the games will be harder and nearly noone wins ????????? regards Wolfgang |

Re: Is winning online only a bubble ????
you can play backgammon online for money??
the fact that i didn't know this is already the answer to your question. there are significantly more people who know that you can play poker on the internet for money. this means more fishies for everybody. if the World Backgammon Tour was as popular on TV as the WPT then I suspect backgammon would be as profitable as it ever was (and probably more so). |

Re: Is winning online only a bubble ????
They have programs that you can use that play a decent game of BG, an online BG player told me that people were using these programs to make right decicions, poker is still by far played by humans not machines.

Re: Is winning online only a bubble ????
Not IMHO.
The casinos continue to thrive even though their current customer base will learn to play better and lose less money, get sick of losing their money or simply lose all of their money. Every year, a fresh crop of young customers comes of age. Some of them will venture into a casino and become attracted to gambling. What may kill online poker will not be a lack of customers. |

Re: Is winning online only a bubble ????
I have seen juicy games dryup quickly. I remember Pacific poker having retard games where the 15/30 tables were full of clueless .5/1 calibre players. Now its a rock garden. I have even seen 1/2 games dry up. Anything is possible. When January comes and the bad senders get their credit card bills in the mail, many of the loonie December games become rock gardens........

If China ever comes on board the poker bandwagon the numbers at sites today will be laughable.
