Default PT\'s fix for Party hands is out (beta patch)

http://www.pokertracker.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1266

[ QUOTE ]
I have uploaded the latest beta that includes support for the Party hand histories that are stored on your hard drive. RING GAMES ONLY FOR NOW, tourney support should be ready in a day or so.

Download is here: www.pokertracker.com/hdbeta.exe

After you install this, it should say v2.05.00h in the title bar of the PT window.

PLEASE - take the time to read this page that describes how to use the new feature, especially the 7 items at the bottom of the page.

www.pokertracker.com/partyhd.html

Lastly, I want to stress that this is a beta. If you don't want to be bothered with finding some bugs or possibly having to purge and reload hands because of problems that are found then please wait until the official release of this new version.

Please post any problems you have here and again, please read the help link above first.

I know I am probably behind the times, but I have been requesting HH's via email still and have not had a problem, are they going to eventually cut out emailing them? I don't see any reason to take extra steps to get the HH's, this should be easier over time not taking more steps(not complaining about Pat's work, cause its great, I'm not happy that Party consulted with him then did their own thing though).

This should actually shorten the number of steps required after set up and avoid the annoying window pop up.

This is great. But just a little heads up for people who are unaware.

This is from Pat:

Some items to keep in mind:

1. Party Poker starts logging hand histories immediately as you sit at the table and continues to log them until you leave, even if you are sitting out of the hand. This is unlike their emailed hand histories that don't include hands you weren't in.
-------------------------------------------------------
I think I'll keep using the old system for a while. I don't want the hands that I'm not in to be included in my PT stats, could cause all kinds of discrepancies. Nice patch though. Pat is fantastic, he's such a workaholic.

Uh, maybe I'm missing the point but isn't this

a great improvement? It means I'm getting more data on my opponents play, and methinks PT is smart enough to know that I'm not involved in the hands, so it's not going to distort my statistics.

Way to go Pat, now go get some sleep...

Jesus, doesn't this just mean I should sit down and watch 4 tables while I sleep, so I can have a bigger DB of possible opponents?

Would this be abuse?

Yes, but massive hand harvesting can be done anyway.

Does this beta version still have the beta version of the Autorate players as well?
