Default Middle Pair + Four Flush- Am I really a whipping boy?

No pre-flop raise. I'm big blind. 4 people see the flop.

Flop comes Ah, 9d, 4h

Everyone checks to me. I hold 9h 7h (obviously not a great hand but I am playing out of unraised big blind)

I bet out the size of the pot. Get re-raised all-in.

When I am re-raised all-in I figure I'm behind, but it is not much to call so I do.

Anyway- I lose to a pair of aces.

My thinking is- no pre-flop raise, so I am not too scared of the ace on the board and I have middle pair and a weak 4 flush so I call.

Was I wrong here?

you need to list stack sizes, the size of the pot, etc. Statistically, you probably have pot odds to call, but youre not much of a favoite to win the pot.

You don't have a strong hand and you're not even drawing to the nuts. Just try to see a cheap turn / river.

I do bet pot size with hands like these sometimes, but fold to all in reraises. However if it wasn't that much more to call it I would've played it the same way.

So basically what I'm saying is I would play it exactly like you did if I've been at the table for a while and had a tight image with a big stack, but if I just bought in I would just check it through.

I know I wasn't drawing to the nuts, but I was certain my opponent had a pair maybe 2 pair because I feel like it is a rare player (especially at low limits) who would re-raise my semi-bluff raise if they were only on a draw.

Looking back, it was probably a bad time to semi-bluff because few online players will fold if there ace pairs and all my bet did was juice the pot and make me committed.

In the long run, is this a losing or winning play?

You have 9+5 = 14 outs

You played it perfectly. It is pretty much a coinflip after the flop.

Take a look at this:
