Default Gus Gets Lucky Again

Looks like the luckiest guy in the world won his 4th WPT tournament. Yep, his luck is sure to run out soon. He's on quite a run, placing better in tournaments than any other player, and winning in the biggest cash games in the world. But surely he is just a lucky bum and most of us are better.

Hate to break it to you bro, but this wasn't a "Tournament", it was a 6 person sat for a 25K seat in the WPT Championship at the Bellagio.

Well, he IS the luckiest player recently on television. How many times have you seen HIM lose a hand he should have won, and how many times have you seen him suck out with 3-6 outers? When it comes down to it though, it's a pretty small statistical sample whihch we are drawing from, as i bet we've seen fewer than 100 hands from him in which his cards got shown as a factor. If he wins half his dominateds, 55% of his 40/60's, and 65% of his races,( which it seems he has), this staistically unlikely event conspires to make him look like a poker god, when he is merely superb.

I personally think he is able to speak to the living dead, and ask them what cards are going to flop. Just wear garlic around your neck to the next tournament and he can't suck out on you.

Default Better than snake oil

Erg,
I think you need to send him a personal request from the readers of two plus two. If he could find a way to bottle his "luck" and sell it, I'd be first in line. Better than snake oil.

Seriously, I think many of us have begun to realize there is a heck of a lot to Gus's play. I for one, have watched many episodes and have gone back and watched them again. His style would never work for me. 120 pound girl, Gus style... No... ain't happenin'. If I can pick up only a bit of his style, I'll be a better player. That much I know.

Regards-
