Curt Schilling and Johnny Damon both made references to how much better the mood in the clubhouse has been in August. A 4 or 5 game cushion for the wild card feels very nice.

They're saying the curse is over. Some kid that lives in the Bambino's old house in Sudbury got hit in the face with a foul ball hit by Manny Ramirez and it knocked out his two front teeth.
I don't know how that exactly reverses the curse but I'm desparate enough that I'll buy anything.

I remember at the 90 game mark stating Red Sox fans were too pessimistic and that it was early in the season. Yeah just past the half way mark is still early because it's 72 friggen games to go. Congrats to the Red Sox, they're playing very well.

I don't believe in jinx's which means I don't believe in the [i]Curse of the Bambino[\i]. The notion of a jinx should be an anathema to a "serious" poker player. The Indians haven't won a World Series since 1948. In reality what's the difference? They're both represent a very long time span, a long time span in which the Yankees have won a lot of championships.
