I'm still trying to figure out if John Murphy is a kid that plays at Oceans 11 or if the kid I'm thinking of just looks like him. I've seen the kid move up from 3/6 to 8/16 pretty quickly, so it might be him, but Murphy said he's from Danville, which would be NorCal.

I am pretty sure that Murphdogg has been playing the 15/30 online for at least 1.5 years, so he is probably playing above the 8/16 level in B+M. I think he has been playing online for 2+ years also.

Santa Barbara's a long way from O11, and the kid I'm talking about is there more often than I would expect someone from Santa Barbara to be there.

I played with him in the Sunday night NL game at Lucky Chances many times over the past year. Diablo and Gift of Gab can also comment on his ability, as they have played with him, too. He loves to gamble deep money preflop.

I’m guessing all three of you would say he’s a pretty good NL player, a bit more on the looser, more aggressive side vs. the typical strong big-bet player.

i agree here.. O 11 is VERY far from UCSB to be cruising down more than once a week, if even once a month.. especially when he would be closer to Commerce et al...
