Default quick Q on J9s and T9s

you are in CO-1 8 handed table with J9s or t9s
and 4 folds before you,is it better to call or raise with these hands?
they are those drawy hands that need pot odds but if you raise trying to steal then is it good enough if 1 or 2 call?

My opinion is that, in general, if you are in late position and are the first to speak on a pot, you should always raise if would would normally call. Sometimes you should raise if there is 1 caller, but that depends on who called and what position they are in. But if the pot is uncalled, don't loosen your starting hands, but ratchet up the aggression. But don't do it becasue you are stealing the blinds. Do it becasue your holding can beat 2 or 3 random hands.

yes good reasoning there,i suppose also by rasing you may stop a guy right behind you trying to knock out the blinds himself,

Exactly, and I suppose that's why it's called the cut-off position.

Are you ruling out folding? Because this is what I would do most of the time, especially the T9s.

If you're saying, "Given that, for whatever reason, you are going to play the hand," well I would say that your action depends on what the reason is. But generally I'd raise to hopefully be able to win after the flop if no one flops a pair (which is more likely against less opponents) and to increase my chances of having the button after the flop.

yes the t9s is a tricky one, need pot odds for that dont you? I think it is a raise or fold one,so it depends on the table if passive then i would raise alright

Do you guys who fold T9s in an unopened pot in the CO ever play a hand? You are in the CO, nobody has entered the pot yet.

Seriously, this is an easy steal attempt. If it were a 4-handed game to start, I would muck this UTG. But it isn't, and I'm not.

Firstly, it was the CO-1 (MP3), or late middle position. Secondly, it entirely depends on the game. In a tight game I'd raise here and see it as a good steal attempt, but I don't play in tight games very often.

Oops. The position change makes a big difference. I would usually fold.
