Default K9s in BB

Hadn't been at the table long so no reads.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 raises, CO calls, Button 3-bets, SB calls, Hero caps, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls.

Turn: (12.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP2 folds, Button raises, SB calls, Hero calls.

River: (18.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB folds.

Final Pot: 20.50 BB

Except for the flop cap I had been passive... but I didn't want to risk the river getting checked through. Wrong?

should have raised the flop, but you made amends by capping.

Backed into a nice hand there, rest was played fine.

You do want to bet that river. Well played.

Is it really good to make the 4 players behind you call two cold on the flop? I'd probably play the same way and hope that someone would raise behind me so I could put in more raises when the field was more committed to the pot. I like this hand.

you're correct, the raise protects a hand that doesn't need protecting, as Ax diamonds is following anyway.

the check cap is a good play.

Apologies!

Correction to your correction, it was a call-cap.

I'd still raise the flop to clean up a K, and to clean up a potential backdoor straight. also, I'd like the lone A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] to be folding, if it's out there. but the pot is small, so building the pot has merits as well.

I think I have a tendency to focus on the flush draw more than I should in situations like this and that it might be better to take the opportunity and clean up some outs.
