$500 buy in 2+2 league.

Yes this is -EV for all of us, yet it should be fun and will give the winner a lot of braggin rights around here.

The idea is $500 buy in. Say 10 of us play, we all play HU 50bb limit matches twice against everyone, winner takes all. Unless we get 20+ people in which we can work out some payment structure and amomunt of games.

At the moment, stars support are trying to help us in getting this going in which case it will be a $500 + $50 league. Still with 50bb stacks no increase in blinds.

IF. stars doesn't come through i myself have no problem transferring my $500 to a 3rd party 2+2er to hold and then pay out to the winner at the end of the league. I'd be happy for people like ElDiablo, InThaCup etc to hold it even if these players were involved too. Then we go play these games in fake money and report the result. Hand histories of the hands will have to be supplied after the HU match.

Anyhow, at the moment stars just wants to see if we have people behind this. So just leave a 'i'm in' and suggestions.

I'll move any next threads to a different forum.

I think the best idea is to use a 3rd party to hold the money. There is no reason to enrich Pokerstars.

im in...it'd be nice to try some of this so-called skill against people i KNOW are far better than i [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

the only problem could be scheduling and time conflicts...if they are too burdonsome then i may have to drop...but i want to play as many of these 50bb matches as possible...

That could be a problem. This kind of thing was discussed before the HULA league. Someone, I believe Mike Haven, pointed out that the sites will would be very unhappy about it and potentially close the players accounts. I don't really remember the details, but you should probably look into it just in case.

Regardless though, if we do the money transfers on stars they will have no problem with it at all. We could use party's/paradise's fake money tables after that. OR we could use paypal for the transfer.

Given that we're not trying to make this financially worthwhile for any of us why not make the buyin a little smaller. For $100 I'd definetly be in. For $500 I'd likely play too, but $100 would be better IMO.
