Isolation gone bad
9/18 live. Full game, loose and slightly aggressive. One early limper and MP limps. MP is a frequently tricky player who loves to bluff and will almost always bet when checked to. I limp in CO with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Button folds. SB completes and BB checks. Five to the flop.
FLOP: J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Checked to MP who bets. I raise. SB 3-bets. BB and EP folds. MP thinks and folds. I call. TURN: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks. I check. River: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB bets. I fold. |

Re: Isolation gone bad
Well played, I don't think there's a whole lot else you can do here without more information on how SB plays. In fact, folding to a 3-bet on the flop may not be a mistake in terms of odds but it will likely be wrong because of the message it will send to the other players.
