Default go jay!

5 handed, $5/$10 NLHE on PS, Jay just sat down a few minutes ago (btw, someone please unban me from IRC). Button raises to $20, Jayp raises to $90 in BB.

Flop is Qs 4s Ts, Jay checks, other dude checks. Turn is Tc, Jay bets $160, other guy calls. River is 8d. Jay checks, other guy goes all in for $270 immeadiately, Jay quickly calls with 77 to win.

I thought it was cool winning such a big pot with just a pair of sevens on that board. Good river call. Jay, why the preflop raise out of position with 77? Also, why the turn bet on that board? I don't think he'd play the river like that with a queen, but he could have easily checked behind on the flop with a queen or a ten.

The preflop reraise i do from time to time sometimes to mix it up sometimes due to boredom, but everytime i do it i like to know i have the possibility that i win the hand there.

On the flop i was just giving up the hand, that's an awful flop and i can't even bet it. After he checks the flop i think i have a very good chance at taking it down with a bet, he could check behind a pair yea but it's unlikely. On the river after he just calls it looks like a crappy draw or a cocky pocket pair, it's not a queen or a ten though hence the call.

But yeah, yawn. It was a ashame the HU game against Riise didn't carry on.

89s Vs his KJs some preflop action with him being the more aggressive. Flop: J86. I checkcall. Turn: 7. He checks behind. River: 9 Board: J9876 He bets $300. Yes i think he's bad.
