Re: How to beat Spirit Rock
Gotta love the 39k stack in a 5k max buy game. This guy is unreal, just tearing up those stakes.

Re: How to beat Spirit Rock
are you folks pretty sure he is not colluding? not to say he has to be, but if he's winning very consistently you really have to wonder. no limit just isn't that consistently beatable, especially for huge amounts of money, unless people just lay down continuously.

Re: How to beat Spirit Rock
he is an acquaintance of a friend, and is almost certainly on the level. very well respected in the poker community, he said he didn't play the 10-10-20 because it was too small a game for him.

Re: How to beat Spirit Rock
not a joke. i hear again and again about his giant wins and am wondering if this is a constant occurrance. no one, not the best in the world, can do that at lucky chances. and a couple of the best are there.
more likely his wins aren't as constant, or the couple of busts before making the big stack have not been accounted for in the posts. as for collusion, give me conference calling and a cell phone and excise my conscience and i will have a significant competitive advantage just knowing four other hole cards. not on every hand, but a big advantage on some. in the hands of a decent player it would make a huge difference. matt |

Re: How to beat Spirit Rock
ok, as to not get into detail as to how retarded you sound and then list a bunch of reasons why i don't think spirit rock is colluding, answer me this.
how do you collude when playing heads up? he was at $30,000 on both tables yesterday, most of it was made heads up. |

Re: How to beat Spirit Rock
no need to get personal. no way for me to know he was playing heads up. i've never seen him play. i was just voicing a legitimate question for high-stakes online play.
and by the way, i am NOT retarded. i'm special. matt |
