Software question

I've been away from 2+2 for a while (and I've payed, I assure you) and I am struck by some of the incredibly specific stats that people have about their play. I know that there is poker software out there, and I've read about some of it, but I have no idea what's good and what's utter junk.

What's the good stuff? What should I look for in poker software?
