Obviously only one card can beat you. Considering the pot odds, chances he's got pocket 10s or another pocket pair, it's a horrible bluff, etc., you have to call.

The thing that initially struck me was how the BB went all-in on the river when he already knew (or should have assumed) that you were pot-committed. If this was a full table, based on your betting before the flop I'd guess you had a premium pair or AK/AQ if I was sitting in one of your opponents' seats. So this obviously wasn't a bluff. (And if it was, it was a horrible one.)

Most likely scenarios are: (1) he thinks a pocket pair is good enough (perhaps 10s, possibly but not likely slowplayed AA), against your AQ/AJs, OR (2) he has that other 7. Sorry to hear if case#2 ends up being so, but you had to call...

Maybe push a little harder preflop, I don't know the feel of the

Hmmm... the roughly pot bet on the 777 flop from SB shows a lot of strength. A low pocket pair probably thinks he's good though, and would probably call. I might raise with AA if I were after you on this flop, having 2nd to nuts.

The K on the turn would make someone trying to steal with AK good, so since they both check after you, you can be pretty sure neither one has AK, not that you're scared of a single K right now.

After the River, You must call his all in, you have 2nd nuts, which is also better than AA now. If he had AA, he might've put you on AK.

I was SB K4o...

Anyway, I did call the river bet and he showed down 74o. Was my pre flop bet not strong enough or was this just a maniac call?
