Default Foxwoods (7/24/2004)

I am going to be at Foxwoods on 7/24/2004 for most of the day, playing $10/20 or $20/40. Anyone going to be around and want to say hi?

I'm going to be there part of the day. But not at those limits. I'm not nearly good enough to beat those games yet, and don't have the bankroll. I'll mainly be at 4/8. Thought I'd give the 100NL game a try too.

Most of my poker will be Friday night though. The guys I'm going with need to be back in Maine a little early on Saturday.

How is the 4/8 compared to the 2/4?

It's the same game for twice the money.

So you can find me-- I am a very skinny white guy. Oval glasses, look in my early 20s, in a blue striped button up shirt. I realize that describes a lot of the people in that place, so I'll bring a little octopus like toy along and set it by my chips in case anyone wants to say hi. I'd like to meet some people in the area.

You get a few more people who play regularly at 4/8, but they are still for the most part bad players. I found the 4/8 a bit smoother but no tougher. If anything, having a few almost-reasonable players makes it easier to isolate the bad ones.

I won't play 2/4 again. Not only is 4/8 the same game for twice the money, the rake is I believe exactly the same. Making 2/4 just plain silly.

Saco Hmm? I live in Bath. Going with some non-poker playing friends from work. I should be a skinny guy, mid-30's wearing a CSC-logo baseball cap. I'll look for you.

Same bad players at twice the price for the same rake; you do the math.

Peace,
