Difficult Decision with AK BTF
$540 buyin at the Commerce. 278 runners starting with T1500.
Half the field is left. Blinds are 50/100. I have been mildly active but certainly not LAG'ing it up. I make it T300 with AKo in mid position. All fold to the big blind. He makes it T1100. He has around T3000 and I have around T3600 at the start of the hand. He plays reasonably well but appears to be a bit overly aggressive BTF, although this is the first time I have ever seen him reraise BTF. What is my best play? Do I push, fold, or call? I felt like he had at the minimum a pocket pair. I did not feel as though he would make this move with a big Ace unless we had the same hand. So basically from my perspective did I want to race for all my chips or wait for a better opportunity? Calling didn't seem like an attractive action. I wasn't excited about calling and having one third of my chips in play knowing that I'll miss the flop a good portion of the time. Comments appreciated and results to follow. Bruce |
