i don't raise 99 even in mid-late position. given that you did, and then had to call a min-reraise (which means what exactly?) what was your plan? set? you missed on the flop, so why didn't you fold? given that you called, why not check raise on the flop and see where you are at? i dont like calling there b/c you have no idea what the villain has.....

So you either A) assume you're beat and fold, or B) put even more money in blind? Thats ridiculous.

OP: I think your line is fine. I don't automatically give him credit for a jack unless he starts going crazy. If he had it he gave you a cheap showdown, but I think it's far mroe likely that he had high cards - you called the cbet, so he checks the turn, but you don't bet either, so he bets the river hoping you fold after showing him weakness on the turn.

I play it exactly the same as you.

Call the min-raise

Lead any j high (or lower)flop for like 3/5 the pot and fold to a re-raise.
