Default I didn\'t know that Ivey gambled like that!

better spots for Ivey to get his Money in than Props. Right?

Then again, it is 0 EV.

I'm pretty sure you are betting either RED or BLACK on the flop....whichever is the dominant color of the flop (2 of 3 or 3 of 3).

I guess you could also do HIGH or LOW?? (take out the Ace, 2-7 is low, 8-K is high)

This also caught me by surprise! It just strikes me as very strange that professionals would "gamble" on something similar to "coin flipping".

I don't know which surprises me more: Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein, or the 200K

Are you talking about an article or TV...just curious.

FWIW I talked to a couple of local pros in AC, they said that Ivey is a craps fiend...said something like he won $6mil in cash games last year and lost $4m at craps.
Might not be true, but the rest of these players stories seemed to check out.

It amazes me (but is believable) that someone who apparently has a very good understanding of the math of poker (and is so successful at it) would risk so much on -EV bets.

this is just silly. as if everyone who goes to casinos around the world and loses money on house games has no idea the casino has the edge.

it doesn't matter what you know, gambling is fun.

LMAO! That ought to have this on a little plaque next to the limit sign at every table game in the house. No need for the slot machines though, cause everyone knows, they're the funnest!!
