Back into MTT\'s - Full Tilt $24, $16K guaranteed
I'm a limit HE pro. I grind it out at the 5/10 and 10/20 SH tables. I've had some success at MTT's but never worked a ton on my game. Well it's time to change that. Here's the first step back:
FullTiltPoker Game #349232792: $16,000 Guarantee (2211931), Table 53 - 100/200 - No Limit Hold'em - 23:33:33 ET - 2005/12/22 Seat 1: norse2124 (3,610) Seat 2: I Love LuLu (1,900) Seat 3: outlaw racer (5,230) Seat 4: dymndphil (2,840) Seat 5: MW_Dailey (14,950) Seat 6: bigslimfast50 (6,395) Seat 7: iamaebayjunky (6,190) Seat 8: ChimpAndaChair (7,870) Seat 9: HERO (10,015) HERO posts the small blind of 100 norse2124 posts the big blind of 200 The button is in seat #8 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to HERO [Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] I Love LuLu folds outlaw racer folds dymndphil folds MW_Dailey raises to 700 bigslimfast50 folds iamaebayjunky folds ChimpAndaChair folds HERO calls 600 norse2124 folds *** FLOP *** [K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] HERO checks MW_Dailey bets 700 HERO calls 700 *** TURN *** [K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] [6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] HERO bets 2,400 MW_Dailey raises to 4,800 HERO ??? Villain seemed pretty normal, not LAGgy, but not a rock either. Preflop I thought was pretty standard. MP openraise from a big stack. I thought calling was the best of my 3 options at this point. The flop was a good flop for me. I guess I could have led out for 1,000 or so and see how he reacted. I thought I was ahead here 90% of the time or so and didn't see a reason to push too hard yet. On the turn, I wanted to charge him if he had a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. The raise surprised me unless he put me on a draw. Is a good line to call the raise and showdown a non-[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (my first instinct), push here, or fold? Comments on all streets are welcome. |

Sorry, I didn't know where to find a Full Tilt hand converter. |

if I got a read on the guy as loose - I check call the river -
if he's real loose, I repop all in - personally, I think a laydown here will save you more times then not. RB |

How about the turn, whiskey? I was weak-tightly afraid of A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K or a made flush. Should I push here? This gives any [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] about 3.3:1 to call instead of the required 4:1. I think folding is my worst option and not sure if I like pushing or calling better.
